Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival, Luang Prabang
    Welcome to Luang Prabang, Laos! After arriving at Luang Prabang Airport, your warm and friendly guide will take you to hotel for checking in. Take a short break in the hotel and then we will head for Mount Phousi which is located in the middle of the town, fascinating temples merged with the surrounding rock outcrops is its characteristics. It is also an excellent viewing platform where tourists can have a view of the whole city. After visiting the sacred gilded stupa, you will follow your guide down to downtown and explore at the night market for searching various vegetarian food and Southeast Asian style souvenirs.

  • Day 2: Luang Prabang
    This morning your guide will take you out to the Wat Sene and the Wat Xieng Thong, the former is famous for a giant statue of the Buddha; the latter is well-known as the fresco of the tree of life. Take a cruise upstream along the Mekong River to appreciate the peaceful countryside on both sides. Taste the local whisky at Ban Xang Hai Village and admire thousands of statues of the Buddha inside with different sizes, qualities and materials in the Pak Ou Caves.
    On the way back to Luang Prabang, visit Ban Phanom for the best cotton and silk weavings. Later you will pay a visit to Wat Visoun, Wat Aham and Wat Mai, they all have their own characteristics. Finally, have a lesson at the Royal Palace Museum, you can learn much about Laos and its unique history.
     

  • Day 3: Luang Prabang
    An early start takes you to attend the morning alms giving ritual. If you want to see the whole religious ceremony, you'd better get up before half pass five. Walk around and have a look in the morning market, and then will experience the living environment of Lao minority groups at Ban Ouay Village.
    Later, pay a visit to the stunning Khouang Si Waterfalls, floating on the turquoise water is good way to relax yourself. Transfer to Ban Xang Khong Village and say goodbye to Wat Phabath at sunset.
     

  • Day 4: Luang Prabang, Departure
