FREQUENTLY ASK QUESTIONS

A 'private' tour is a great way to experience Asia. Upon arrival at the international airport, you will be met by a driver and an English-speaking guide and taken to your hotel. You travel around with your own travel group in a car or minibus with your own private driver. All excursions are also 'private'. The driver is not a guide. During the excursions and sometimes during longer travel routes, you will be accompanied by a local, English-speaking guide. Excursions in major cities  go by public transport /or taxi,minivan,boat or on foot. Traveling 'Private' in Asia is comfortable and provides freedom and flexibility. You can stop wherever you want along the way and you can book and pay for additional optional excursions with your driver on site, as long as you do this in time, one day in advance. The 'private' way of traveling is also a good way to learn everything about daily life.  Your driver and the local guides are of course an ideal source.

Asia is a very large continent. That is why you will change drivers regularly, because they usually operate in a certain region. Under the 'included tab' you can see for each tour exactly what is included during local transport and during excursions.

The road network in some parts of Asia is congested, especially in the big cities, and rush hour in those cities is a nightmare. Fortunately, you do not drive yourself and your driver is used to it. Your driver and guide speak English. The driver speaks moderate English and often has a limited vocabulary, but enough to help you with practical matters. Your local guide speaks better English and enough to explain the sights. We often find the driver's and guides' pronunciation of English quite confusing. Asian people sometimes place the emphasis incorrectly or only half-pronounce words. Our advice, ask until you understand what is meant.

Trains and domestic flights

Because Asia is a large continent and because you want to see as much as possible, you take a domestic flight or a night train for some routes.

Asia has an extensive network of domestic flights.The airports look surprisingly modern, are spacious and clean. Because there are many providers, there is usually a choice of several flights per day, and the tough competition ensures reasonably low prices.

Asia also has a good long-distance train network. Traveling a train route at night is an experience and can be added to the list of 'authentic' experiences. We always book a 2nd class sleeping compartment if you travel on the night train. There are no high-speed trains in Thailand, like in China or Japan.

Flying and flight choice

The prices shown for all Asia  trips include domestic flights. This is a basic price that has not been scanned for timeliness and availability.After booking we will contact you and discuss the possible options with you. Our experience is that the more flexible you are with your flight choice and departure date, the more favorable the flight options. Even though there are many flight options and therefore almost always availability at competitive prices, Still, it pays to book as early as possible, especially in the high season during holiday periods. Then the prices are also high for parts of Asia..

Can i make my own Package?
Yes.You can choose from all sights and make your own planning according to your wishes.Depending on your choices we will devide that into days.

 

Are entree fees included?
Yes, Admission tickets are included.All our packages are ALL INCLUSIVE.

 

How many people can be attending the same public tour with me on the day of my visit?
When we offer services daily, the amount of participants varies a lot from day to day.Our theme tours usually provide a more intimate experience depending on the service and the date of your visit. On all our tours, we have a maximum of 8 people per guide
 

Tour photos and other memories
We aim to take photos including all the participants of our tours. Every guide has a smart phone for such a procedure and activities. We publish many of these photos on our Facebook page,Toutube.Instagram and Tiktok platfroms.Some of them are also presented on our public websites. 
In case if you do not feel comfortable to be in our photos, we sincerely appreciate your privacy and it is not a problem. Please just let your guide know about it when you see photos being taken (or even before)! We are always happy to share these memories with you and appreciate even more if you are willing to publicly share your personal memories and experiences in the aforementioned forums!
 
How can I make a reservation?

The most popular tours of Traveltour Asia you can book by email and pay directly by your card via online banking.

All reservations to our tours can be made by sending us an email. After we have agreed on which tour or services you would like to have, you will receive a confirmation email with full tour details as well as payment instructions.
 

How early should I contact you?

As soon as you are ready for a Traveltour Asia experience. But the sooner, the better. We have public tours open for everyone the whole year around, but not necessarily on the particular day of your visit. Last minute reservations are taken by email until the night before the tour if there´s availability.
 

Should I email you in English? Or can I write in other languages?

We answer emails in  our service language,which isEnglish..If you need to call us, please use English,Thai or Dutch.
 

Do I need to pay in advance? What are the payment options?

As payment options we accept online payments via SEPA payments within SEPA countries in Europe as well as cash at the meeting point in some cases.For tours with reservations as well as for private tours we require a prepayment.

  • Your booking is not considered confirmed until at least a 50% deposit is received as outlined on your service invoice.

  • Remainder to be paid online a minimum 42 days before your tour date or in equivalent local currency cash on the day directly to your guide.

  • Any cancellation less than 15 days in advance, the client is responsible for the full amount as it appears in the service invoice.


How do you take care of customer safety on your tours?

All our guides are professionally trained and our practices, such as the routes and working processes, are precisely planned in order to maximize the safety of our customers.

We start all our tours with a proper orientation and our professional guides are happy to advice you about the local regulations and cultural differences to make your experience in Asia even more happy and memorable!
 

What is the responsibility of a guided activity provider in Asia ? 

We as a responsible guided activity provider have a liability insurance as according to the legislation and as a sign of professional services. As a standard, we warmly recommend you to have your own personal travel insurance on all your journeys, though. We wish that you read our FAQ section carefully to find the answers to your possible questions regarding our tours. If there is still anything unclear left after that, please contact us by email with your questions and we will be happy to solve the issues and give more detailed answers. 
 

Can you organize a pick up from the airport by a car?

As a sustainable company we can organize car transportation from the airport to your preferred hotel.
Most cities has a very effective public transportation network.We are happy to give you specific instructions on how to arrive at
 your accommodation by taxi or through our company.

PAYMENT FAQ

 

1. What are the possible reasons for my credit card declining?

A credit card can decline due to an invalid credit card number, expiration date, daily limit, insufficient funds, home address used instead of billing address or many other reasons. Sometimes banks put a limit or a restriction on a credit card charge. In this case, you may need to contact your credit card company for more information. Sometimes the card number itself is input incorrectly. Please check online to make sure the available credit card information is correct. You are welcome to give us a call to go over the credit card information by phone.

2. I am concerned about sending my credit card information online. Is it secure? Can you advise me the best way to send this information?

We take every precaution to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website/email system, your information is protected both online and off-line. When our registration/reservation form asks you to enter sensitive information (such as your credit card number), that information is encrypted and protected . We use a credit card processing company to bill users for purchases and services. These companies do not retain share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.

3. Does the tour price listed when booking include taxes? What should we expect to pay on the tour?

Our price usually includes the tour reservation taxes. Gratuities for tour guides and bus drivers are not included in our prices. Gratuities will be paid at the time when you are on the tour.

4. How long in advance must we book and make full payment?

We recommend that you book your tour as soon as all of your travel dates are set. This way we can secure your seats for your reservation as soon as possible. Many times our tours can become sold out. Tours that may show availability online can easily become sold out, depending on when the full payment for the reservation has been made.

5. Can I put a deposit or make a partial payment for a reservation?

You are welcome to make deposits or partial payments for your reservation, but until Traveltour Asia receives full payment for your reservation, your seats will not be secured. Please make your complete payment as soon as possible so that we can confirm your seats for your reservation.

6. If my Credit card gets declined / If I do not want to share information with my Credit Card for security reasons, What other payment options do I have?

You have the option to use PayPal, Visa ,Mastercard or Bank Wire Transfer.

For the PayPal option just make sure that the PayPal email used for your payments matches with your email address used during your booking as part of our verification process.

For Bank Wire transactions make sure to send a copy of your receipt together with your reservation number for us to process your payment.

Cancelation Policy

All deposits taken for bookings are non-refundable, but are transferable to another date, if your guide has availability. Please contact us as soon as possible if your situation changes and we will do our utmost to accommodate you. Surcharges may apply in certain circumstances.

RESERVATIONS  FAQ

1. What is the reservation process? How long does it take to confirm my reservation?

 Immediately after submitting your reservation, you will receive a Receipt of Reservation via email.

Within one to two business days after submitting your reservation, you will receive a confirmation email from us. If there is any additional information that is needed, we will ask you for it at that time, i.e. flight information, hotel extension, etc.
A Ticket will be sent to you via email two or three days or sooner before your departure date, providing you with all the detailed information about your tour. Contact information for the local tour provider will be included on the Ticket for your convenience and reconfirmation purposes.

 

2. Can I change my reservation after I submit it online?

Within one to two business days after submitting your reservation, you will receive an updated email from us.If there is any additional information that is needed, we will ask you for it at that time, i.e. flight information, hotel extension, etc.
The cancellation fee will go into effect once you submit your reservation. If your purchase cannot be confirmed for any reason, we will fully refund your purchase without any additional charges.

 

3. I am afraid that I may have accidentally duplicated my reservation?

Please immediately send us an email or contact our office by phone. We will void the duplicated reservation for you as long as it has not been confirmed.

4. If I'd like to book additional hotel nights as an extension, is it possible to reserve the nights at the same hotel where we will be transferred to on Day 1 of the tour?

It is a good idea to stay at the same hotel instead of switching hotels. If you would like to book additional hotel rooms through us, please make a note specifically listing the date(s) in the comment section when you book your tour online. We will try to book the same hotel as the one you are staying at on the first day of the tour. Therefore, on the second morning, you will be picked up directly from the hotel.
 

5. If I cannot make it to the tour at the last minute but do not want to forfeit my tour, what can I do?Can the tour ticket be transferred to another person?

Yes. You may contact us with the Full Name of the guest who will be replacing you on the tour. 
Please note that if the tour includes airfare, which is non refundable, there will be the extra fee necessary to purchase the air tickets for the new guests along with the applicable amendment fee.

6. Can you recommend a travel insurance company?

Travel insurance is always a good idea to have when you plan travel and go on tours however, we currently do not have referral programs with any travel insurance company.

7. How do I complete my online reservation?

In order to complete your online reservation, it's just a few clicks away. The following is directions on how you can reserve your trip:

Step 1: Filling out the inquery or request Form 

Step 2: We sent you a detailed itinerary based on your preferences
Step 3: Adjust and agree

Step 4: Confirm order

 

Tips: If your tour package includes airport pick-up and/or drop-off, we strongly recommend you book your flights after you receive a confirmation email from us within one to two business days after making your online booking. Thus, you can leave the flight information blank and provide it to us at a later time after we confirm your reservation. On the checkout page, you may choose different payment methods such as credit card, wire transfer, PayPal. Please keep in mind we need to receive your full payment in order to confirm your booking. Our complete checkout process is security-enabled with SSL.

 

You will receive a Receipt of Reservation instantaneously in your email. Please review details pertinent to your reservation, in your email, including tour departure date, time and location, number of room(s), price, etc.

8. Can you confirm the hotel information (such as hotel name, address and contact info) that I will be staying in for all the tour nights that I have booked with your company?

Please refer to your Tickets for hotel names. The first hotel names listed on your Tickets are normally the hotel accommodation that you will be staying at. The hotels may change depending on hotel availability, size of group and many other factors. We try to arrange for all of our customers to stay at the same hotel. However, sometimes we will not know until 1 to 2 days before the departure date. We guarantee hotels similar in quality to the ones listed on Ticket if this is the case. You may contact our office 1 to 2 days before departure to re-confirm hotel information.

10. What should I do after I have completed my booking online? How and when will I get my Ticket for the tour?

Immediately after you submit your reservation, you will receive a Receipt of Reservation via e-mail.
We will then confirm your reservation with you within one to two business days, by e-mail.

 

11. How do I pay for the optional tours?

All optional tours must be paid before your starting date  to our company.

12. How early can we check in to our assigned hotels for the tour?

The standard hotel check-in time is 2:00 p.m. Hotel staff may allow check-in earlier, if they have available rooms at the time. If not, you may ask if you may store your luggage at the hotel. Please note that hotel check in may need security deposit which is required by the hotel and this deposite will be refunded by the hotel after you check out.
