Day 1: Arrival in Chengdu
Welcome to Chengdu, the lively hometown of giant pandas and mouthwatering Sichuan hotpot! When you land, your private guide and driver will be right there to welcome you at the airport. After arriving and checking into your downtown hotel, the day is all yours to unwind or start your adventure exploring the charming streets of Chengdu. -
Day 2: Giant Panda & Wenshu Monastery
Visit the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base where cute creatures live and breed. It attracts many tourists every day. Stroll through this lush paradise, you can see them gnawing on bamboo, playing, or peacefully napping in the cool shade.
After spending the morning with the pandas, visit the tranquil Wenshu Monastery, where you'll see locals worshiping and burning incense. Sit down in a tea house and get a cup of tea to experience the rich tea culture. -
Day 3: Sanxingdui Museum & Lost Plate Food Tour
About an hour's drive from the city, you'll arrive at Sanxingdui Museum to unveil the secrets of the ancient Shu kingdom, which exhibits amazing items that have transformed our understanding of Chinese history.
In the evening, take a Lost Plate Food Tour to visit hidden residential enclaves and spicy markets, explore Chengdu's backstreets, and discover the classic local street food. Find out the flavor of Chengdu, spicy, salty, or sweet. Sample local dishes like Mapo Tofu, Dumplings, Noodles, etc. -
Day 4: Chengdu - Lhasa
In the morning, fly to the holy city of Lhasa, the biggest city in Tibet. When you arrive, be transferred to the hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing. -
Day 5: Lhasa, Potala Palace & Barkhor Street
Begin your day with a visit to the majestic Potala Palace. This stunning red-and-white palace was previously the Dalai Lama's winter residence. Strolling among the magnificent churches, you will find precious cultural relics and rich murals here, which is the best way to understand the history of Tibet.
Next, visit the ancient Jokhang Temple, Tibet's spiritual center, followed by a leisurely stroll around Barkhor Street, where Lhasa's most famous pilgrimage route and bustling bazaar, and you're sure to be attracted by the unique handicrafts and souvenirs. -
Day 6: Drepung Monastery & Sera Monastery & Norbulingka
Explore Drepung Monastery, once the largest monastery in Tibet and home to thousands of monks. Soak up the tranquil atmosphere and marvel at the countless porcelain, thangkas, and bronze statues of Buddha and Bodhisattva.
In the afternoon, visit one of the most beautiful monasteries in Tibet - Sera Monastery. The highlight is witnessing the monks gather in the courtyard and ask each other questions about religious topics to ensure they fully understand. Finally, stroll through Norbulingka, the most exquisite garden in Tibet, and you will be amazed by the unique Tibetan plants and exotic flowers and plants from the northern and southern Himalayas. -
Day 7: Lhasa, Departure
After breakfast, your private guide and driver will transport you to Lhasa's airport for your departure flight, with your happy memories of Chengdu and Lhasa.
